About The Principal Investigator

Dr. Shivendu Ranjan is an Assistant Professor at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), where he is making significant strides in the fields of Nanomedicine, Nanotoxicology, and Nano-nutraceuticals. His passion for Nanobiotechnology was ignited during his tenure as a Bioengineer at VIT Vellore.

Recognised for his exceptional contributions to the scientific community, Dr. Ranjan holds Life Fellowships in esteemed societies such as the Indian Chemical Society, The Linnean Society of London, the Indian Engineering Teachers Association, and the Bose Science Society. Furthermore, he serves as an Associate Editor for Environmental Chemistry Letters, a renowned Springer journal boasting an impressive Impact Factor of 9.02.

With an impressive career spanning various reputable institutions, including the Indian Institute of Food Processing and Technology (MoFPI, Govt of India), E-Spin Nanotech at SIIC, IIT Kanpur, the University of Johannesburg, and the Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre (DST-Govt of Gujarat), Dr. Ranjan has left an indelible mark. He has amassed an impressive portfolio comprising one WIPO Patent, 55 scientific publications, 34 edited books, and two authored books.
